Burnham Race

Let’s give props first to the Burnham Racing club for developing such an great event/venue for cycling. We (the racing comunity) should try to set up more racing at these venues if possible. The facilities were incredible, flush toilets, heated registration, I was impressed.
But back to the race report. I was one of three or four designated sprinters for plan B of the Tower Master Plan. Plan A worked out pretty good with Doug getting into an early break that turned out to be sucessfull. I felt good about our chances when he got into that move. It was awsome to see everyone understand what was happening and work within the overall plan. I actually felt a bit sorry for everyone else in the field because they really didn’t have much of a chance. But it wasn’t a given, because if Doug hadn’t executed and delivered he would have been bummed out. Thanks to Pat’s bridging to give him some moral support and relief on the last couple of laps.
It was pretty incredibale watching it all unfold in front of me. My job was to sit in and make sure two or three of us stayed calm and were ready if plan A didn’t pan out. Kevin
